Frozen Solid

Ramsey Lake in this case. Cameron drew some attention with his skating abilities. An older couple stopped us to ask how old he was and were shocked when I said he'd just turned three. They couldn't believe how fast and steady he was skating along with his cart. But here's the thing...he only skates when he feels like it. He'll go along nicely for a bit and then refuse to move for several minutes, whine and complain that he doesn't want to skate, and then you turn your back for a few seconds and have to skate fast to catch up to him again! While I was talking to the couple he skated all the way back to the benches.

Keith told me last week that the best way to get him to skate is to take him all the way to the end of the rink and then tell him to skate back to bench, it's time to go home.
We took our skates off and headed over to Science North (top right of the picture) to use the bathroom (forgot to fill you in on that news...he's potty trained now!!). As we were going through the doors, two ladies started pointing and laughing saying "there he is!". Seems they'd been watching him from the restaurant in the building!
My son, a celebrity!

If only he wasn't so stubborn.

Congrats on the potty training!!!! I can't wait till I too have no more diapers! Major accomplishment, and yes it is soo true that some kids act like they hate skating but they are so damn proud of themselves while they are doing it.
