Probably Part1

There might be a part two today since I have a couple more things I want to photograph once my camera battery is charged. The weather, for one, deserves to be captured. We are having one of those horizontal snow "falls" today...how any of it is ending up in the driveway is hard to explain. When I look out all I see is snow zooming by. Enough already! I know I live in Northern Ontario and Winter is a way of life, but it really does get old come the end of March. Especially when I see pictures from some of my Southern friends having their Easter Egg hunts outside (that would be child abuse here!) and other's talking about their peas coming out of the ground (ground? what's ground?)!!

Photography class was so much fun last night. We got talking about some creative techniques and fun things to shoot like water drops, smoke and light painting. Being the nerd that I am, I dreamt about all these things and couldn't wait to get set up this morning. I managed to get one shot of a water droplet before my battery died. I don't own the lens that makes this work really well, but I got a fairly good shot none the less.

In response to Lindsay's comment last night...Yes, the kids got MORE chocolate when Papa Bob came over. It was Kinder Surprise type eggs though (hollow!) so I don't think they added much to the weight total. I did forget to point out though, that a small amount of the chocolate eggs that the kids got were actually from last years hunt which had been sitting in the freezer since then. So, we didn't actually get 13 lbs of NEW chocolate...only about 12lbs 10 oz worth. But who's counting?

Oh! Battery charger stopped flashing! Woohoo...off I go. Will blab more later!
