Trevor & Natasha's Wedding

Aren't they cute?I'm still here! It's been a busy couple of weeks, so now I have accumulated a lot of pictures that need to be edited before I can post them. However, we went to a wedding this weekend and I thought these pictures deserved to be posted ASAP...not for my photographic skills (or lack there of) but because of the beautiful subjects!
Our friends Trevor and Natasha tied the knot on Saturday...one heck of rainy, rainy Saturday! Apparently it's my fault since I forgot all about the tradition of hanging the rosary on the clothesline to prevent bad weather. My Memere did it for my wedding and it totally worked, so I should have done it for them. Even the priest called me on it! "Someone forgot to hang the rosary on the clothesline!" and I swear he looked right in my direction. And wow, did it rain!
It wasn't the best weather for a wedding, but it was glowing and beautiful inside the church.

However, I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. Despite how cute they look all dressed, despite how much fun they have running around and dancing at the reception, it is NOT fun for parents to bring toddlers to weddings. No 20 month old is going to be happy sitting still and quiet for half an hour in a giant room full of interesting new people, with pews to hide amongst and long aisles to run down....especially when the wedding takes place an hour passed nap time! Nor will any kid under 10 sit through wedding speeches when they are hopped up on chocolate dessert. Apparently some of the speeches were funny, judging from the laughter I heard, as I followed him in the hallway.I'm not sure I actually ate any supper at the reception, and I was really happy I chose to wear ballet flats rather than heals. There was tonnes of little kids to play and run around with, which is fine if you are almost 5 and taller than the tables, but when you are under 3 Ft tall you dissapear completely in a room full of table cloth covered and center piece topped tables! However, he was nice enough to escort an old lady and her walker all the way down the hall from the bathroom, accross the ballroom and right to her table. What a Gentleman! (lucky the old lady could keep up to how fast he was pushing her walker). I finally called it quits when I spotted him walking accross the dance floor carrying one of the lit candles from the headtable! Tule is very flammable, you know! We put them in their jammies and drove them out to spend the night with some friends and came back to party. I haven't been up til 4am since Cameron was a...well....just a few months ago really! ;-)
