Hip Hip Hooray!

Today is one of the most exciting days of my life. I'm trying not to be too happy because I know in a few years I'm going to be thinking "I miss those days", but at the moment, I'm dancing a jig as I type. Today was Cameron's first day of nursery school!!

Ok, I'll admit I am sad, just a bit, because yes, my baby is starting school. But only a tiny bit.

First off, I LOVE this nursery school and I LOVE the teacher. When I signed Sydney up there three years ago I was terrified. She wasn't quite three years old, she'd never been away from me with a stranger, we'd only been in the community for just over a year and hadn't really met any friends, and I was big and pregnant for Cameron. The idea of 2 hours, twice a week where she could interact with other children and I could have a little break was appealing, but I didn't know who I could trust. My fears were quickly put to rest when I met the teacher, Sherry. Energetic, enthusiastic and friendly are words that just barely did her justice. Sydney and I both fell right in love! We had a fantastic year, she met several little friends, some of which even went on to be in the same class as her in Kindergarten, and I met a lot of wonderful Moms. Three of us where pregnant within two months of each other, and at the end of the year, we said how much we looked forward to the day where these younger siblings would get to come to nursery school together.

And now, here we are!
(they still won't look at the camera!!)

Cameron was so excited! He gobbled up his breakfast and got dressed very quickly, and he even agreed to sit on the potty....because only little boys and girls who use the potty are allowed at Miss Sherry's School.

He said goodbye to his old buddies...and off we went.I couldn't keep up!
He actually jumped in to the classroom and yelled "Boo!".
Sherry was nice enough to snap a picture of us together. One of his favourite things to do lately is make puzzles, so he and his old friend Olivia cooperated to finish the Dora puzzle.
And then off I went! Not one single child cried.

I hung out at another Mom's house, and watched the clock til it was time to go back. We were actually two of the last ones to show up!! Hee Hee!

And just to remind me that he is still my baby, the first thing he did when we got home was run to his room for a cuddle with his soother and blanket.

Can't wait til Thursday!!
