I am so smart...S-M-R-T

Ok, so apparently the paint name "Toasted Wheat" should have been called "Vitually The Same As You Already Had, Dummy!". I was so mad as Keith rolled it on. There is just the most subtle difference in colour, but unless you were here to see a painted and unpainted wall side by side, you'd never believe me. I'm not even sure you can make it out in this picture. However, it's amazing what a fresh coat of paint does to a wall. The entire room looks like it had a good scrub and a long nap. I was ready to run back in to the city to get the paint retinted, but as it dried it started to look so much better, I decided to keep it. Cameron had to get in on the action of course. We did this real quick while Sydney was playing in her room, because, of course, then she would have had to do it too then she would have been upset when it was time to stop.

For what ever reason, the new paint makes the couch look quite green though, so I think I will have to get a slip cover to hide it's ugliness.

So the red paint, newly renamed "Hell's Red" is finally finished with. One coat of Pepto pink and 5 COATS OF RED later, and it looks pretty darn good. I love the shade, I just wish it hadn't been so much work. That many coats made for a lot of bleeding under the tape, so I have some fine touching up to do with some white paint. Stucco is really hard to paint against.

We also started ripping up the linoleum. That's kind of a fun job actually. I'm using Satan's hair dryer to soften the glue and it peals up quite nicely. I watched parts of the Ace Of Cakes (one of my favourite TV shows) Marathon while I worked and managed to only set the fire alarms off twice. The one in the hallways is really nasty. They are wired in and they sound scary like the alarms our school had when I was a kid. I always thought the alarms were scarier than the possibility of a fire!

So anyways, not much else new. Took Sydney to get her haircut on Saturday, I'll try to snap pictures of that later. It looks really cute and I'm hoping it won't get so gnarly any more.
Oh, and for whoever happens to look at this before 6pm tonight. I need to bring my favourite photograph that I've taken and a few other ones that I'd like to share to Photography Class tonight. I think I'm going to use the "Bay Watch" picture of Sydney running accross Daytona Beach since it always makes me happy when I look at it, but I'd like some other opinions. Which pictures do you like?
