We just got back from a week long adventure to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida with Mom, Dad and Lindsay. What a ride it was!
I have so many pictures to share, so I'll post only one day's highlights at a time. I apologize to those of you (especially Mom and Dad) who are on dial up!!
Day 1
We arrived at Disney very early in the morning on Sunday. The kids open their eyes just long enough to catch a glimpse of the part of the resort we were staying in, but the full effect wasn't realized til they woke up later on.
This is Woody from one of our favourite Disney Movies, "Toy Story". Notice how he is as tall as the three story building beside him?
This is the window of "Andy's" room. Andy is the little boy who owns the toys in the movie.
This is Bo Peep...
Rex (who Cameron growled at every time he walked by)...
and RC. Notice the door to Andy's room in the background? We had to walk through it to get to our room!!
This of course is Buzz Lightyear. He actually stood taller than the building. "To Infinity and Beyond!"
Kind of gives you the idea of just how big he is, doesn't it?
We headed off later that morning for Animal Kingdom. Here we saw a stage show of Finding Nemo...
got out pictures taken with some characters from the Hundred Acre Woods all decked out for Christmas...
rode a bunch of cool rides...
and checked out the "Tree of Life". Can you spot all the animal carvings in there?
We went back to the resort in the afternoon for a swim and then went to the Magic Kingdom for a late night of short lines for rides, cool air, and the most spectacular fireworks we have ever seen!
We went home exhausted after our first full day.
