Thomasaholics Not-So-Anonymous

Say that ten times fast!

Time to stop the harrasement! I've been getting a lot of e-mails, messages and flat out being told that I need to get back on track with the pictures of the kids. Life's been a little busy People!! I'm getting further behind, so I've decided to work backwards. I'll try to post the pictures I've missed over the past two months in with the new ones. Happy now?

Ok, so first I'll start by posting pictures from yesterday...or what is now know as The Best Day of Cameron's Life (so far). The local toy store hosted a "Thomas Fun Day", which I'm sure was an attempt to renew our spending habits on the little lead painted friend, our children are so obsessed with. And I do mean OBSESSED! I am the parent of a 21 month old child who eats, breathes, sleeps, bathes, dreams, and talks about Thomas ALL DAY LONG. It's the first word in the morning, it's the last at night. He can't say his own name, yet he can clearly say "Thomas", "Percy", "Henry" and most impressive "Sir Thopham Hatt". He knows who each one is...and if you have any experience with these trains you will know that there are 3 blue trains that only vary slightly in size and appearance. Thank goodness the people who make these trains stamp the name of each one on the bottom for us poor parents! He also apparently feels his drinks taste better in his Thomas sippy cups since he routinely hurls a plain cup clean accross the room/van when presented to him.

So, off to Top Notch Toys we go for a mini train ride, face painting, a Thomas play area, balloons and of course, 25% off all wooden Thomas toys. Apparently the lead paint recall hasn't scared too many people off the toys, because the store was packed with toddlers and little kids dressed in Thomas, playing with Thomas, and talking about Thomas. I was sitting with Cameron and was given a full introduction to each character by a 3 year old boy fully decked out in Thomas attire. I can see what I'll be dealing with in a year from now.

Here are the pictures I managed to take. I would feel really uncomfortable if some stranger was shooting pictures of my kids at a place like this, so I try really hard not to take pictures of others. That unfortunately makes it really hard in a packed small toy store. But I did get a few....

And yes, it worked. Our shopping is pretty much completed for his upcoming Birthday and Christmas. Ya, ya, I know...suckers!
