We are now officially "allowed" to go to Disney! We packed up the van and headed to Ottawa last week to get our passports processed right at the office. We've heard too many scary stories about the backlog at Passport Canada since the US put their mandatory passport rules in to place, so we decided not to risk it. I didn't want to have to explain to a 5 year old Princess that she couldn't go to the Magic Kingdom to meet Cinderella because her passport didn't arrive in time. The process was quick and smooth (despite the early wake up time to get in line and the heavy rain we had to run through) and now we have one less thing to worry about. Time to book her in to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and for that lunch date with Cinderella!
Once that was done, we headed back West for a weekend of camping at Logos Land with Auntie Lindsay. Luckily the torrential rain stopped just before we arrived. We crammed our tents in to a tiny campsite,
set up the rest of camp and headed to Noah's Ark for pizza and to play with the animals and train.
It was hot and sunny on Saturday so we spent the afternoon at the water park. We took turns going down the water slides (my sinuses are squeeky clean now, Lindsay almost lost an arm and Keith thought he was going over the edge!) and staying with Sydney who refused to try even the baby slides. Cameron shivered his way down a dozen times with all the other little tots while she sat on the sidelines. We finally convinced her to try by telling her the Saturday Night Family Movie was only for kids who went on the slides and that she needed to practice for Disney. She begrudgingly took her turn, but "didn't like it" despite the grin on her face! She did however go out on the water trampoline with Auntie Lindsay while Cameron had a nap.
We had steak and potatoes back at the camp and watermelon for dessert.
