Cameron will be marking another big milestone in a boy's life next weekend....Papa is taking him to his first NHL game. They are going to see the Montreal Canadians thump the Toronto Maple Leafs. (they aren't Habs fans, but we always cheer for the team playing against Toronto...it's the rules!). So, to prepare him for the big game, we decided to take him to watch his favourite player in another high speed, high talent hockey game.
Papa John and his 55 and over hockey team!
Look at him pass the puck right past Gilmour!
Papa is the equivalent of Sid The Kid on this hockey team. He only made the age cut off by a year.
There was a 72 year old man on one of the teams they played against (they tied that game). He took a stick to the face and returned to the bench bleeding. There's no respecting your elders on the ice! Between games, Papa took us out for lunch and then we headed back to his hotel room so he could have a pre-game nap. Not so easy when two grandkids want to play!

All set for next weekend!!
