Last night we took Sydney to the Dentist for her check up. Cameron conked out on the way there (since his afternoon nap was so rudely ruined) and slept through the whole thing. I know...bad idea seeing as it was 6pm...but having him unconscious and not running around a dental office is way better than the alternative, even if it means he'll be up later than normal. Sydney's teeth are beautiful and cavity free (pat on the back to Mom for helping her brush and being a Candy Nazi) however I was given the heads up that we might want to consider trading in Keith's extra holidays for full orthodontic coverage. Little mouth, and not much room for those teeth to come in. Hopefully her jaw will grow, but so far it's not looking good. Something about a cross bite too. Tell me this isn't a prolonged use of a soother thing!
So after another late night, Cameron and I spent the day at home doing a whole lot of nothing. It was badly needed. He played and so did I. Tonight we went in for the weekly farm pickup in the pouring rain....Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts and more kale! He fell asleep and slept through it all. I woke him up so we could go check out the Halloween stuff at Value Village....store packed and not much left. So we then went across town and picked up a pattern and fabric for a Scarecrow costume for him. Sydney is going to be Dorothy, but our friend Natasha gave us a blue plaid jumper that is close enough to pass.
Of course we couldn't go an entire day without Cameron doing something interesting, so his choice today was to pull half of a display of fabric bolts on to himself. Lucky it was 5 or 6 bolts of sheer, light fabric and not denim! I found him cowering in a ball underneath the pile. The store lady wasn't impressed and it took her a while to straighten up the display. Sigh! Why I like to shop ALONE!
He's going to go hang out with Natasha tomorrow night so I don't have to take him to dance!
Keith will likely be home on Friday.
