September In Pictures

And in words....

• Cameron is still off his soother. He never looked back. I don't think I gave the story, but in short, he forgot it at the dance studio one night. It was too late to go back, but he went to bed without a fuss. We went back the next day and retrieved his blanket, but we told him another baby took his soother. End of story.


• Sydney and three classmates joined a Grade 2 class. Grade 1 was too big, Grade 2 was too small, so now they are even. So far so good.


• Today she received the "Student of the Month" award for displaying this month's virtue of "Courage" for moving to the new class.


• Gramma Shirley was here this past weekend and we took her up to High Falls to take in the fall colours.


• Sydney LOST another tooth. Lost, as in - fell in the sand and can't find it lost. Two for two. She's worried she will never get to actually put a tooth under her pillow.


• Nursery School is going really well for Cameron. I wish I had the magical powers that Miss Sherry has over 2 year old boys.
• I also put him in gymnastics. He's a monkey and LOVES it.
• Sydney is back to dancing. It's a long and late night at the studio, but the classes are smaller and more involved, so she's actually dancing instead of standing around. The hallways are much less crowded than last year, and MUCH more pleasant.
• Except for last week, when a little boy (thankfully it WASN'T Cameron), went missing for half an hour. Absolutely terrifying. Cops with sniffer dogs on the way, and someone finally found the little guy hinding under a small mostly enclosed staircase


• Keith went on a long weekend of duck hunting. He got a few. Blah, blah, blah...


• Veggies are still coming and now it's apple time. Freezer is full, shelves are full, we've run out of jars...again!
• There has however been a frost, so we had to pick all our green tomatoes.
• I am back to being Minivan Martha chauffering my kids, and other people's kids around the city, baking for parent duty, and getting ready for Christmas.
• As a result, I didn't get my book read for Book Club this month. I actually only got 35 pages in! (hanging head in shame)
