Reason #4662 Why I Like Being A Mom

Getting to do things you loved to do as a kid again. Gimp bracelets!!
It's a little hard for her, but she can do it pretty well if I'm sitting with her. I found a little tool with holes to help start and hold the bracelet and numbers to help her remember which piece to pick up and where to put it.

I can definitely see the advantages to being a Mom in a big city as opposed to one in a small town, like my Mom was. I found a big package of gimp complete with patterns and zipper pulls at Michael's. I remember my Mom taking trips to the Hobby Shop to buy us lengths of the stuff off of plastic spools when we were in to that!
Embroidery floss bracelets are next!!

I picked a pile of herbs out of my garden this morning and tossed them in to the dehydrator. I'm going to be craving roasted chicken all day now from the smell in the house! So as you can see, we are having much needed, quiet weekend.
