Has our farm share been worth it?
Just half way through the season I can absolutely say YES! Those of you who know Sydney, now what that picture means. They sat down on ate an entire plate of carrot sticks! My kids! Both have devoured bowls of fresh peas as well!!We finally had the opportunity to visit Dalew Farms yesterday during their open house. Not only are they providing us with vegetables fresh and tasty enough for my kid's discerning palates, but they are also running the cleanest and best smelling (or non-smelling I should say!) farm I have ever been near. Ya, it was muddy...but what farm isn't when it's rained the majority of the summer. I mean CLEAN...as in I didn't feel like going home and bleaching our hands and clothes! By providing the animals with fresh pasture every few days, they aren't sitting in piles of mud and poop and who knows what else. All the animals looked healthy, vibrant and happy!
