It's been another busy one, but I'm pretty sure life will slow to a snail's pace after this weekend. I can dream can't I? Dance is finished, Mine Rescue is about to be, and there are only a couple weeks left of school. With the new car and Keith finally getting back to regular shifts again, I'm hoping we can fall back in to some kind of sense of routine.
Gramma Shirley is on her way to spend the weekend with us. The Provinvial Mine Rescue Competition is this weekend and as the Captain of the loosing team, Keith get's to be a judge. I'm going to watch the winning team compete tomorrow since half them were on "our" team two years ago and the've become friends. This competition is going to be special since it's actually being held in a mine rather than staged on an arena floor, pretending that two by fours and landscape fabric are an underground scene! There will be cameras following them so we can watch on surface on TVs. Should be really interesting and a much better learning experience for everyone. Banquet and a friend's Birthday party to go to Saturday night and then quiet night's sleep in a complimentary hotel room!
Not much else to say, so here's a few picture highlights from this past week. I don't know what's going on, but I haven't been very happy with my pictures lately.
Cameron finally zonked out after an afternoon swim...
The lilacs bloomed this year! We had NOTHING last year and I think they made up for it this year. The whole house smells beautiful...except for whatever garbage can has one of Cameron's diapers in it...
Book Club meeting was here on Monday night. The book wasn't a hit so only two of us had it done. So we chatted, they enjoyed wine (you know me!), and we ate yummy food and made our picks for the next 8 months...
The future Sydney Crosby celebrated a big win...
and Cameron enjoyed his Tuesday morning Playgroup.
