Valentine's Day and Family Day Weekend

Let's see....what have we been up to??

Keith and I went out for supper Wednesday night so we could celebrate V-Day with the kids. Cameron had his girlfriend "O-yi-bia" (Olivia) over for a playdate and lunch of heart shaped pizzas.

Olivia's Mommy, Tammy, was also kind enough to go through Cameron's closet with me, so she could reclaim all the loaner hand-me-downs that he'd outgrown! Woohoo! Another garbage bag worth of stuff out of the house!

We had heart shaped ravioli for supper that we found at Costco and some yummy pink, heart shaped cookies for dessert!

Cameron found himself a pet ladybug. He tried so hard but was dissapointed to find out she (or he??) wouldn't eat his orange. He checks for her everyday, and has found her (him) three times.

Briar helped me practice more photography techniques.

Gramma Shirly was in town this weekend so she came out with "The Gail's" for a visit Friday night.

We shopped most of Saturday and Sydney started feeling sick later in the day. We came home and she went right to bed shivering. She didn't eat any supper but seemed fine the next morning. Keith spent the day fishing and came home with this nice catch.Cameron was enthralled with the "Hice Pish" and begged to go "Hice Pishing". Daddy said they couldn't go, so he asked Papa on the phone when we called to wish him a Happy Birthday. Papa said he would take him ice fishing (next time we go up North) so the poor kid ran off and put his boots on. He was some upset when we explained Papa could take him that minute! Today was the first "Family Day" holiday. The weather was crappy and we were all feeling under the weather, so we tried to keep busy and happy inside.

Of course, Cameron had some say in how "happy" Sydney was about all this.
The boys made lunch.Despite the sore ears and runny noses we had a good morning, but we all crashed out for the afternoon. Sydney was wimpering in her sleep and woke up a mess, so I took her over to the walk in clinic just a few minutes before closing. The Dr found an ear infection, of course, so we filled the Rx and headed back home.

Daddy cooked us a nice Lake Trout dinner with twice baked potatoes. The kids got their second winds at bath time.. and were put to bed...early!

Family Day is a good idea in theory...but maybe Parent's Day would be even better??
