A Fun Day Meeting New Friends

We went to Papa Bob's yesterday to help him put a new roof on his house. His neighbours have a little girl who is 3 and they keep chickens, a rabbit and 2 dozen sled dogs!! We had a great time playing with our new friend and visiting the animals. Cameron really took to the chickens...he went right in the coop, closed the door and sat down with them. Mom was completely grossed out and tried to take him out but he threw one huge temper tantrum!! We also got to feed them slugs and snails. She's going to boil our clothes and bleach our shoes today! This is the robin that built a nest right on Papa's deck behind the barbecue. A critter got a hold of her eggs, so she was smart enough to rebuild her nest up in a tree and layed a second batch.Papa is so lucky to live on a highway that has a steady stream of trucks and motorcycles going by!
This is what happens to sweet little girls who live in Northern Ontario when the black flies are out! Even with bug spray!
